Build your own 1085

Everything is open: the case, the software, the apps. Here is what to buy, what to print, and how it goes together.

What you need

Lay it all out before you start.

What to print

  1. Pedestal

  3. Back plate
  4. Bottom cover
  5. Grille backing
  6. Four key caps
  7. Badge and inlays
  8. Header shim

Designed on a Bambu H2D. Inlays are separate bodies, so a multi-colour printer does the badge and key symbols in one go. The print files are on the releases page; the live model is in Onshape.

Putting it together

  1. Print the case

Eight parts. The bezel and back plate print full width on a large bed; the key caps print upside down.

A different board?

Another panel or another computer can join. Porting to a new board is in the docs.

Rather wait for the kit?

The same parts, in one box. Put your name down.

Updates, now and then

A short note when there is a new board, a new slowapp, or kit news. Rarely more than one a month.
